Kupa Aerospace Clinic is a clinic designed to serve the Airline Industry and Regulatory Authorities.

 

We moved from Kupa Medical Center in October 2016 to the Ground Floor, MSCP Building, Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2), Ikeja Lagos, Nigeria. We also have a branch (Aviation Clinic) in Port Harcourt, River State, Nigeria.

 

The Civil Aviation Authorities repose special trust and confidence in our integrity, diligence and discretion and have found us to have the necessary knowledge, skill, and impartial judgment to merit special public responsibility.

We therefore have an Obligation to the public to ensure aircrews are capable of performing the essential tasks without sudden or subtle incapacitation. Our Mission Statement is to get every airman that we think can safely fly back up.

 

We are designated by various Civil Aviation Authorities to conduct Periodic and Initial Medical Examination on Flight Crews, Air Traffic Controllers and other flight personnel.

 

We conduct and issue or deny medical certification on behalf of the NCAA as well as other authorities like the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Transport Canada, Civil Aviation and Safety Authority of Australia (CASA), and South African Civil Aviation Authority (ZaCAA).

 

We are also authorized to conduct and enforce customer/companyDrug and Alcohol Policy to include Random, Pre-employment, for reasonable suspicion/cause, post-accident and return to duty test in any part of the country.

We also render occupational health services to the occupation industry

Below is a list of some other services we provide to our clients;

• We conduct for industrial and factory workers. The medical screenings are like Lung Function Test (Spirometry) with Chest X-Ray, Cardiovascular Risk Assessment (Baseline Electrocardiogram (ECG), Stress ECG, Holter ECG, 24 hour Ambulatory BP)including Lipid Profile and 10 year CVD Risk Assessment, Renal Function Test, Hearing Assessment with a Pure Tone Audiometry, Eye examination to include Visual Acuity, Color Vision Testing, Fundoscopy and Intra-Ocular Pressure measurement.

• We conduct periodical which includes;

  • Aircraft Engineers, Refuellers Fitness To Work

  • Professional Drivers Fitness To Work

  • Technicians, Fire Safety and Rescue Team Member Fitness To Work

  • Crane and Heavy Equipment Operators Fitness To Work

  • Food Handlers Fitness To Work

• Pre-Employment Medical Examinationsand Food Handler’s Testin accordance to the Nigerian Labor Law and respective specific company policy(s).

• We conduct with emphasis to visual acuity, ocular muscle balance, color perception and refraction and for disease complication assessments especially diabetes, hypertension, glaucoma etc. We use the - for occupational related duties (pilots, aviation security, ATCOs) and students (primary and secondary) requiring color assessment evaluations

• We conductwith pure tone audiometry

• First Aid Seminar/Training for companies particularly for their staff in safety sensitive positions or their selected first aid responders/representatives

• Detailed for Cadet Pilots and Engineers, post-incident or accident evaluations, for reasonable suspicion or following confidential peer reporting.

• We provide and (Malarone) to expatriates and enforce customer to companies especially those with large number of expatriates.

• We certify – fitness to fly certification (pregnant women and ill passengers).

• We are well equipped to attend to with prompt referral facilities including routine medical consultations

• Provision of fully equipped and trained ambulance personnel
